PPIAC, founded  in 1978, was formed to improve the credibility of private investigators and to provide guidelines for a licensing statute, should one be drafted.

PPIAC focuses on the continuous education of investigators while providing a framework for their ethical conduct. When the public needs a P.I., they can rely on the competent members of this organization, who have all passed a thorough background check. PPIAC members believe in high standards of conduct and also in a constant upgrading of skills and knowledge through training.

PPIAC, about 140 members strong, fosters professionalism, as well as informs the investigative community of legislative changes. We sponsor monthly trainings and a three-day Annual Training Conference covering the various aspects of a very diverse business.

PPIAC provides an excellent forum for the networking of these numerous investigative specialties.
