We are so pleased to announce that our 2023 Rocky Mountain Investigators Conference was a resounding success! Our Conference Committee truly outdid themselves. Professional investigators from across the country gathered to learn, network, and share their expertise during THREE FULL DAYS of training. Our accommodations at the Hilton Garden Inn were excellent; we could not have asked for a better space to gather.

The conference started off with a full day of hands-on open-source intelligence (OSINT) training with the one and only Sandra Stibbards. This training had something for everyone, beginners and tried-and-true veterans alike. It was an amazing day of learning!

Over the next two days, we heard from several speakers and received valuable information on a variety of topics related to the field of investigations. Our speaker line-up was full of top-notch experts, who provided 17 credit hours – yes, 17! – of continuing legal education (CLE). Take a look at our wide range of topics and speakers:

  • J. P. Moore – Ethics
  • George Carey – Emerging Infosec Threats
  • Kara Napolitano – The Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking
  • Michael Depew – Accident Investigations
  • Christopher Mammarella – Cell Phone Forensics
  • Dale Pugh – Fraud Investigations
  • Kevin Carter – Creating Partnerships between Public and Private Sector
  • Isaac Peck – Common Claims & Legal Missteps that PIs Should Be Aware Of
  • Dean Beers – Criminal Defense Investigations
  • Marcy Phelps – Due Diligence
  • Vic Moss – Drones
  • David Migoya – Senior Investigative Reporter for Denver Gazette
  • Don Redl – Catastrophic Airsoft & Force-on-Force Injury Cases

Thank you to our speakers, our conference attendees, our Conference Committee, and of course – our esteemed membership. Opportunities like this would not be possible without your continued support.

Now, we look to the future as we begin planning for our 2024 RMIC! If you would like to present on a topic at next year’s conference, or if you have a suggestion of a speaker our Board should contact, we would love to hear from you. Send us an email at training@PPIAC.org!
